Listings View Count - Good Thing Or Bad Thing
On every property on FranceHouseHunt there is a counter that tells you how many times a property has been viewed.
Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
From a sellers point of view
Why it is good:
Because it shows whether or not a property is popular or not
It shows prospective buyers that other people are interested in the property and if they don’t want to miss out on the opportunity of buying it they should move quickly
Why it is bad:
If there are a lot of views it may put off prospective buyers because they may think something is wrong with the property if there are lots of page views
Lots of page views may make buyers think the property has been on the market for a long time - they again may wonder what is wrong with it (conversely it may indicate that the owner may take a much mower offer?!?).
Let’s hear your views….do we keep it (after all we do have stats displayed in your admin panel), or do we get rid of it?
