The air is very clean there, saying that everything is cleaner over there compared with here. Life is very much better over in France.

The farmer who sold us the place seems to be a nice chap and has said that he will be glad to sell us eggs, chicken and guinea fowl and a farmer friend of his will be happy to sell us milk. A van comes round selling other supplies. The nearest town with shops is Trie Sur Bais, it is only 6Km away. It is quite a nice little town. Spain is a 1 hour drive away. The Atlantic is a 1.5 hours drive and the Mediterranean 2.5 hours. You will able to do a lot of star gazing over there, if not there is an observatory on one of the mountain tops, which is not too far away, we can see it from this place.

The main reasons for moving there are: -
It is very much cheaper than here.
It is cleaner than here. London is not very clean at all, air, streets etc.
It is friendlier than here. Just walking down the street, total strangers greet you with a very friendly hello.
It is a place that we can live life, rather than life living you.


Out in the countryside, surrounded by nearly two and a half acres of the Gers that is yours, the sun dipping slowly in the west and the Pyrenees in view to the south. You look and you feel master or mistress of all you survey, a swimming pool perhaps, certainly a patio with sun beds, lawns, a few fruit trees. Only an hour from the airport at Pau for friends and family to get to, and yet also ten minutes from the town where you do all your shopping. A church in the square, arched colonnades where the artisan boulangerie is, small restaurants and bars for the essential morning coffee. Life is good now, but you deserve it. You’ve worked hard for it.

When you arrived here and saw the house is was but a ruin. Your vision took over, and now you are glad it did. Decision made, property purchased, your first task was to clear out the inside. But that was the breakthrough! When it was clear you could see what the possibilities were. Keep the exposed stonework, the beams and timbers of the upstairs, some were quite sound. The roof needed redoing though and that had to take priority. Rooms up and down, well, with the condition it was in, you made your own decisions there and now its just as you want it.

Le CU, permis de construire d'ensemble, s'était épuisé. Nous avons sollicité un neuf, nous devrions entendre parler de ceci bientôt.


L'air est très propre là, dire que tout est plus propre là-bas comparé à ici. La vie beaucoup mieux plus d'en France.


Le fermier qui nous a vendus l'endroit semble être une gerçure gentille et a dit qu'il sera heureux de nous vendre des oeufs, poulet et la pintade et un ami de fermier à lui seront heureux de nous vendre lait. Un fourgon vient autour de vendre d'autres approvisionnements. La ville la plus proche avec des magasins est Trie Sur Bais, il est seulement 6Km partis. C'est tout à fait une petite ville gentille. L'Espagne est une commande de 1 heure loin. L'Océan atlantique est une 1.5 heure conduisent et les 2.5 heures méditerranéennes. Vous capable faire beaucoup d'astronomie là-bas, sinon il y a un observatoire sur un des dessus de montagne, qui n'est pas trop lointain, nous peut le voir de cet endroit.


Les raisons principales de se déplacer là sont : -

Il est beaucoup meilleur marché qu'ici.

Il est plus propre qu'ici. Londres n'est pas très propre du tout, l'air, les rues etc.

Il est plus amical qu'ici. Juste descendant la rue, les étrangers totaux vous saluent avec un bonjour très amical.

C'est un endroit que nous pouvons vivre la vie, plutôt que la vie vivant vous.
