Very attractive renovated house in a small hamlet not far from the pretty medieval town of Le Dorat, 40 minutes north of Limoges. To step into the house you use steps which are listed so you cannot change the entrance!
Open the door, and what a surprise, you dont expect such a large living area. The living room (19m²) with beams, stone walls and nice tiled floor has a new fireplace with fitted wood burner that heats the whole house. It is separated from the fitted kitchen by a low stone bar with a nice piece of old oak (8cm thick) on top. The kitchen is really lovely (22m²); rustic and warm, and it opens onto the back terrace and the very large garden (1,265m²) at the back of the house. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms (7 and 13m²) and a small bathroom with toilet (shower over the bath). On the top floor, the loft has been converted into a large dayroom/office (the plumbing to install a shower room and toilet is already in place) and a third bedroom (12m²) which is very pretty. It is very nice renovation having kept a lot of character of this old terrace house (1891). There is double glazing throughout and the heating by wood is so efficient the additional electric heaters are rarely used. It is worth a visit, you will be pleasantly by the space it offers!
