The appearance of this old stone property is quite deceptive and it is not until you are inside that you can fully appreciate the size and the character. The main entrance is via a doorway into the pretty little courtyard, and then a door into the hallway where immediately you can see a host of original features: walls with exposed stonework, punctuated occasionally by some Toulouse brick; wall niches; period staircase - somewhat worn but adding to the charm; beams and charpente (roof timbers). The house was a near ruin and the owners have renovated it over the past 2 years. The roof is completely new and, whilst many timbers have been saved, there are some new beams in keeping with the style. There is new plumbing, oil central heating, electricity, double glazing, and modern tiles on the ground floor in traditional terracotta colours. On the side near the little village street is a spacious sitting room 42m2 with French windows. Off the hallway is a laundry room with WC. On the opposite side of the house is the kitchen and dining room - probably the best feature of the house - with French windows to the courtyard, and a door to the footpath. The windows overlook some beautiful views of the countryside. The kitchen is fitted with plenty of cupboards and tiled worktops. There is a large island for working which has a breakfast bar one side. On the first floor is a good-sized landing 25m2 used as a study. A door leads to a vestibule, off which are 2 bedrooms with views, each 16m2; a walk-in wardrobe; a shower room/WC overlooking the courtyard, with seisal matting and modern basin set on a unit. On the opposite side of the landing is the master bedroom 30m2 with en suite bathroom/WC 10m2, still with work in progress. On the top floor is a bedroom with en suite shower/WC. There is floor space of 20m2 but movement is restricted due to roof timbers. Renovation is almost complete and most jobs remaining are small ones, all of which will be finished before the sale.
